Another set of headshots for Jonathan Wilcox

April 17, 2008

I did a second set of Headshots for Jonathan Wilcox this afternoon. Jon decided to grow out his awesome man beard and do a second session with a little more scruff. I told him I think he looks like Jack form “Lost” Jonathan is represented by the Shamon Freitas Agency

Here are before and after beard pics to enjoy.

San Diego Chargers Tryouts

April 15, 2008

Earlier this month I was contacted by Jenn. She needed to do a shoot for her application for the San Diego Chargers. She wanted to do some beach attire and a couple of studio shots.

We decided to start in Ocean Beach at a little hidden cove I know of. Matt Odgers, a good friend of mine came along for the shoot. Matt is a new photography enthusiast. He just got himself a Canon 40D and was excited to use it. Matt works at a Law firm full time and at the Bitter End Bar as a doorman on the weekends.

Jenn was late for the shoot, because she got caught up at Mac. (I don’t recommend that you have your make up done at Mac, they tend to go a little over the top with cover up and always take way too long.) If you can have a friend do it it’s better (as long as your friend knows what he/she is doing).

We got some great shots at the cove and headed out to the studio. I went with the yellow back drop for Jenn and it looked great with her skin tone. We finished up outside on this funky old beetle that happened to be parked outside the studio.

Jenn submitted her app on Sunday and we are waiting on the results…

.GOOD LUCK JENN!!!

Laugh comedy in San Diego headshots

April 7, 2008

I had the pleasure recently of shooting headshots for comedian and new friend Klaus Biegler. I first met Klaus through Kurt Braun a local Art Director. Kurt hired me to shoot a comedy show at Heneses bar one evening. Klaus had hired Kurt and crew to video the event.

Weeks went by and out of the blue I got a call from Klaus. He said, in his German accent “Jeff its Klaus, how spontaneous are you feeling?” with which I replied jokingly  ”Well Klaus, it depends on how much my spontaneity pays?”

The next day we got together at Kluas’s apartment he fed me a redbull and we hit the streets to shoot his headshots. We had a blast and Klaus was fun to work with.

He is putting on another comedy show on June 14th at 4th & B. Proceeds benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Where partying meets charity.  Laugh your butt off and feel like a saint Here is the link to his website.
